Holiday Message from the CEO

During this time of year, we often receive messages encouraging people to gather, enjoy specially prepared meals, and reflect on their blessings. While we can all find something to be grateful for, it's important to recognize that some individuals face greater challenges than others.

To our fellow citizens who are unhoused; to those living with disabilities who struggle to find person-centered support services; to our fellow citizens with limited or no access to food; to our fellow citizens and those who are undocumented who fear possible deportation; to our fellow citizens with missing or unjustly incarcerated family members; to those living in poverty with no solutions in sight; and, of course, to the Indigenous people who continue to face hardships— We see you and support you today and always.

At Shared Horizons, we fully embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, and we are thankful for the diverse populations we serve. ALL LIVES should be enhanced through safe and affordable housing, quality healthcare, nutritionally sustaining food options, a fair justice system, and an engaging support network for all who are in need.

We hope that during the upcoming holidays, we will all take a moment to reflect on this country’s true history and the people who have been negatively impacted by it, both past and present. Let’s take action to ensure a better future.
